- USB Programmer Instructions:
- The new for Upa usb is a complete set with all adapters, the master device can be connected directly to the Elrasoft.com UUSP (USB Serial Programmer) or via an optional DB9 male female 1:1 extension cable. It comes with a 40pin ZIF socket for all narrow and wide DIP DIL devices, and a 16 pin SOIC ZIF (150mil, narrow) socket for most common devices.
- Device configuration is done via special configuration keys, which makes the job much more convenient and safer than all manual wiring.
- Common adapters plug into the 40pin ZIF socket to cover other packages.
- The main unit also includes a 10pin ISP connector to which the included ISP adapter can be connected using a standard 1:1 flat cable (included). The included PLCC ISP adapter will be placed directly on the soldered chip of the target device, making the work more convenient and safer than manual soldering or using clip connections. (Power from UUSP to ISP target can be enabled or disabled with a jumper next to the 10-pin ISP connector)

- Just connect the board directly to the UPA programmer or use a DB9 male/female extension cable (1:1). Insert the correct configuration key into the motherboard socket and start programming via the ZIF or SOIC socket. You can also use the included DIL to 10-pin flat ribbon header, put it inside the ZIF socket and attach a SOIC clip or fixture for the ISP to use from there.
- For Motorola MCUs
- Choose the adapter you want to use, and connect the flat cable to the adapter (always marked PIN1 on both the cable and the adapter) and to the motherboard's 10pin ISP connector. VCC power is selected via a jumper next to the ISP connector on the motherboard (on = target supplied by upa, off = target has its own power supply). Slide the adapter over the PLCC MCU soldered on the target PCB. (No soldering, no checking pin assignments, no pin counting, save a lot of time and trouble, make your work faster, more precise and easier)
